About CARE
The Center of Agentic Research and Education is an independent research institute studying AI agent safety, privacy-aware routing, and agentic system governance.
Mission
CARE exists because the agentic future is not cloud-or-local. It is a routing problem. Every query has a sensitivity profile. The right architecture classifies first, routes second, and never leaks. CARE builds the science, the standards, and the systems for this.
What we do
Measure. We run open, repeatable tests on privacy-routing systems with real workloads, not synthetic benchmarks. Every claim is backed by code. Every result can be checked.
Build. We ship open-source tools — classifiers, filters, audit loggers — under Apache 2.0. Tested in production.
Guide. We give leaders, standards bodies, and policymakers the evidence they need to decide well.
Research areas
Security. Can the system resist attacks? Injection, extraction, re-tokenization.
Privacy. Does private data stay private? Query-by-query, across PHI, PII, and privileged information.
Cost. What does safety actually cost? We measure governance overhead in live systems.
Speed. Can the system be safe and fast? On-device vs frontier, routed per query.
